Accommodations

Tumbling River Ranch offers outstanding facilities, with a selection of cabins with fireplaces and private baths, and two historic lodges with spacious rooms and suites. While many of our guest cabins date back to the ranch’s beginnings in the 1940’s, you can be assured that each accommodation is spacious, comfortable and full of personal touches. Plus, you get to enjoy incredible views and fresh mountain air from your front porch!

Ranch House: 4 bed/4 bath

The Ranch House is a beautiful & historic accommodation. The first room is a private suite called the “Scenic suite.” The Scenic has a king bed and private bath in the bedroom. Off the bedroom is a large and private living room that houses a fireplace and a full wet bar. As you can guess from the name, the view is absolutely spectacular…however make sure stairs are NOT a problem!! The second room in the Ranch House is called the “Deer room.” The three rooms “Deer, Fawn & Elk” are all on a private hallway that has an outside door additional to each room having a private door. The Deer room also has a lovely view of the ranch, it has a queen bed, private bathroom and fireplace. This is a European sized room, best for a teen or a child, but can be used by a couple. The third and fourth bedrooms (“Fawn & Elk”) mirror each other. Both have double (or full) beds, private bath rooms and fireplaces. Again, European size rooms really best for children. The Ranch House does have a front porch as well as a large living room on the next level down.

Hogan Cabin: 2 bed/ 1 family bath

The Hogan is a newly remodel two bed/one bath cabin. It has a king bed and fireplace in the first bedroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds. The stunner here is the family bathroom. The bathroom is as large as the second bedroom. This makes this cabin luxurious for a couple and perfectly capable of taking a family of four with younger aged kids. It has a jetted soaking tub, a full stand up shower and an oversized vanity sink. This cabin also boasts the largest outdoor porch.

Frenchman Cabin: 2 bed/ 2 bath

The Frenchman cabin is our largest 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin. It is very light and bright with huge cathedral ceilings. The “parents” side of the cabin (think two hotel rooms connected by an interior door) has a king bed, private bath, fireplace and a full living area. The “kids” side, which connects through an interior door, has a king bed and two twin beds. This side also has a private bath and fireplace. Tumbling River is located in such a wonderfully unique place at 9200 feet in the mountains. I say that we are lucky, because we stay nice and cool and have very few bugs. One of the way we took full advantage of those features is that each of our cabins have large outdoor porches that family gravitate towards. So, our “living rooms” are really on the outside.

Upper Chalet: 2 bed/ 2 bath

The Upper Chalet cabin is our only 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin that is elevated with a wonderful outdoor front porch which allows for beautiful mountain views. This cabin is completely private and cannot access the Lower Chalet without going down the porch stairs. It is very light and bright with large modern bathrooms. The “parents” side of the cabin (think two hotel rooms connected by an interior door) has a king bed, private bath, fireplace and a sitting area. The “kids” side, which connects through an interior door, has a king bed and a twin bed. This side also has a private bath and fireplace.

Lower Chalet: 2 bed/ 2 bath

The Lower Chalet cabin is a true cozy 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin. It has a lovely “log cabin feel” with tongue and grove walls and a beautiful rock fireplace. The “parents” side of the cabin (think two hotel rooms connected by an interior door) has a king bed, private bath, fireplace and a sitting area. The “parents” bathroom is two piece with a toilet closet and a soaking tub. The “kids” side, which connects through an interior door, has a queen bed and a bunk bed. This side also has a private bath and fireplace. The location couldn’t be better here…close to the kids program meeting spot…the critter pen, close to the pool and the kids love the private front lawn in front.

Forest Cabin: 2 bed/ 2 bath

The Forest cabin is newly remodeled, but maintains the first cabin built at TRR charm. The first bedroom is generally occupied by parents and it has a king bed, private bath and fireplace. The ceilings are very large in this cabin with newly added recess lighting to give it a light and bright feel. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. This second side also has a private bath and fireplace. The fireplaces are a huge focal point to the cabin with floor to ceiling rock and really give you that cabin in the woods feel. This cabin has a great location between the pool and the main Ranch House (where most indoor meals are held). Again, this cabin has a lovely front porch for reading a great book or having a glass of wine.

Tomahawk Cabin: 3 bed/ 2 bath

The Tomahawk cabin is a favorite for large families. It has three full bedrooms, two full baths and it is our only cabin with a full living room. The master has a king bed, the first bedroom has a queen bed, and the final bedroom has three twin which gives the cabin the ability to sleep 7 comfortably. The living room has a big rock fireplace and a huge bay window looking into the horse pasture. Each bathroom is fully equipped, and this cabin even comes with a jetted soaking tub for mom. Tomahawk has the added bonus of a big back porch overlooking our horse pasture. Don’t be surprised if you have a horse whinnying in your window, or maybe even a donkey braying!

Bighorn Cabin: 2 bed/ 2 bath

The Bighorn is special in many ways. It matches the other 2 bed/2 bath cabins in the same pattern of “parent’s side and kid’s side.” The parents side has a king bed, sitting area, private bath and fireplace; while the kids side has a king bed, full bed and a twin bed (3 beds total on the kids side), fireplace and private bath. The special part of the Bighorn is the two outside porches. One is a back porch that overlooks “Tumbling River” and the front porch looks through the woods towards the pool. This cabin is a Trip Advisor favorite!

It's time to experience the Tumbling River Ranch.
