Peace in the Woods is accurately named. The home sits at the end of the road, so there is no traffic. It was exactly as described. The screened porch was a fantastic place to enjoy coffee in the morning, and a glass of wine in the evening while our canine companions enjoyed the secure fenced area. We had everything we needed, and Jessica from Georgia Mountain Rentals checked on us to make sure. Very nice! We recommend anyone looking for some Peace in the Woods check it out.

Peace in the Woods was cozy to say the least. We had the most comfy beds. Our toasty fireplace provided the perfect setting for a few naps. We grilled steaks and cooked breakfast. Had a couple of deer to visit in our yard. It was all perfect and I’d go back in a heartbeat

We take a vacation every year with our best friends. This cabin was absolutely perfect for the two couples. It was very clean, the hot tub was great, and we absolutely loved it. The kitchen was well stocked, although we did not cook. It has a regular coffee pot and a Keurig. It is a little hard to find so I definitely recommend trying to get there during the daylight. Great communication from the rental agency. If you hear loud noises at night, don’t worry it’s just the acorns hitting the metal roof!

My only recommendation was made to the rental company, and that was a new shower head for the smaller bedroom’s bath. Hopefully they will take that into consideration and replace it before the next visitor. Again, they were very receptive to comments. Best communication ever from a rental agency.

We had originally rented a different cabin, but due to some reservation overlap, Peace in the Woods was offered to us instead. We loved it! Would choose this cabin again if returning to hike more in GA.

We had a great girls weekend with our moms at Peace in the Woods. The location is close for visiting Helen. My mom uses a walker and the cabin was very easy for her to get around. The lower step into the shower and seat in the shower were helpful as well. The kitchen had all we needed to cook a few meals and we appreciated the Keurig coffee maker. Sitting on the screened in back porch surround by trees was so relaxing. The cabin is at the end of a road so we had no other traffic and complete privacy. The office staff were very professional and called the day before to make sure we had received the code to enter the cabin and also called the day after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was just as described...cute and clean! Perfect for two couples with two master bedrooms! The cabin had enough seating to watch a movie or play cards. Peaceful away from Helen but not too far away. Enjoyed Anna Ruby Falls and Tallulah Falls.

We've been staying with GMR at least once a year for at least the last 6 years! They are great people to deal with.

Peace in the Woods is the perfect name!

The only negative things was the lighting in the bed rooms and over the kitchen table (very dim).

We will definitely return (although we pay bring our own lightbulbs, LOL!)

"Peace in the Woods" indeed- a very cozy, secluded cabins in the woods just minutes from Helen. Also within minutes from beautiful hiking trails around a lake and through Unicoi State Park. It was easy to find even in the dark due to very clear directions and check-in was super easy. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. My dog loved it most of all with a screened in porch to play in and a fenced in backyard. The hot tub was a highlight and easy to set up. Can't recommend this cute cabin enough!

Very well situated if you’re looking for peace and privacy while still having easy access to all the local attractions. Excellent hot tub, deck area and covered porch. Also has a good run area for dogs.

We loved it! It was clean, quiet, and close to activities. The kids loved the hot tub. We also made s’mores in the fire pit. It is very private located at the end of road. I would definitely book this again for the family.

The cabin is private not only in its location (end of the road) but also in the way the bedrooms are separated. The place is small but bedrooms and baths are a good size, as well as the living room and kitchen. I particularly appreciated the option for a fire inside or out, and having a screened in porch as well as an open porch and a covered porch - which was perfect for the hot tub.

I took a girls trip to Helen and stayed in this sweet little rental. It was conveniently close to everything but secluded enough to be cozy and perfect. The beds were comfy and it was clean and tidy. We had plenty of space for parking and felt super safe. 10/10!

Very cute little cabin! Everything was clean and fresh. Location was close enough to town but far enough away for a very private feel! Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom! We had a wonderful time! Staff is very friendly and easy to work with!

Cabin was great as well as location. However, both beds were less than satisfactory. Mattresses seem to be poor quality. My wife read previous reviews and brought a mattress topper. Other than that all was perfect. Will continue to use Ga. Mtn rentals.

Everything was perfect at Peace in the Woods with one exception. I had hoped previous reviews regarding the mattress were an anomaly but found both mattresses to be horrendous. Extremely firm - no padding. We did leave after only 1 night of 2 solely because we couldn't bare the thought of having to sleep on them again. The cabin is perfectly situated and stocked. Customer service was 100% and we appreciated their help during our stay. Would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice quiet setting!

Property description was extremely accurate and we were very pleased with the cabin. The property manager provided excellent customer service.
We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who loves being at a secluded spot, but still very close to attractions nearby. We enjoyed the restaurants in Helen, GA, but our real enjoyment was with the waterfalls/hiking trails nearby.

Location is great if you don't want to stay in Helen. Only a ten minute drive to Helen. Very quiet, at the end of a gravel road, which is a bit bumpy driving on, but pretty easy to find. House was very clean, looked just like the photos. Lighting in the house could have been better; maybe just switching to LED bulbs would help, otherwise house was very comfortable for the four of us.

The cabin was tucked in the back so it as secluded and quiet. It was just far enough outside of Helen yet within 15-20 minutes of all the hiking trails and waterfalls that we visited. The cabin had everything we needed for a 4-night stay and was very clean and well-kept. The WiFi connection was excellent and the hot tub was great after a day of hiking.

We came to Helen for a girls weekend. The cabin was perfect for 4 of us. Both beds were kings so there was plenty of room to share. The beds were quite hard so be prepared for that. Otherwise, it was PERFECT! Great location. Enough dishes, pots/pans, etc for us to cook in a few times. Bathrooms were nice and big. Hot tub and fire pit were great. We all agreed we would definitely come back to this cabin.

My boyfriend and I drove to Peace in the Woods from Atlanta for the weekend. It was everything we could have hoped for. The kitchen had all of the bakeware, silverware, plates, etc we needed. Hot tub was very nice. The location is mostly private; however, we did have a few lost people drive past on Friday. Very clean location. We would come back again.

We were very happy to see that the cabin was exactly as shown on the website. It was beautifully decorated and everything was in great condition and very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub on a cold night. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend this cabin to all looking for a quiet getaway that’s close to the fun in Helen. There is plenty to do in town and surrounding area. The only recommendation I can add is there should be directions on how to use the TV for guests unfamiliar with using apps to watch . Thank you for giving us a beautiful and comfortable place to stay.

We found the cabin fairly easily and in good condition; there was a few missed areas during the cleaning but overall the cleaning crew did a good job. Had a temporary issue with the fridge, but the over night maintenance staff was right on top of it and got us fixed up (amazing that they would be willing to come out at midnight). Though we didnt take full advantage, having a dialy activity one free guest provided with the stay was awesome. The company was very accommodating to specific request concerning the hot tub, and we are very appreciative. The location and size of the cabin was perfect (2 adults, 2 children ages 5 & 8). We would choose this exact Peace again! Thank you for a great experience.
